Be a part of New Orleans history as a participant in the Krewe of BOO! Halloween parade. Along with a thousand participants including marching bands, dance troupes and walking krewes, you will toss throws to tens of thousands of people along the three-mile parade route through the picturesque French Quarter and Central Business District of downtown New Orleans.​

As a member, you will receive a reserved spot in the Krewe which gets you on the float, and includes admission to the Axeman’s Ball in March, Captain’s Masquerade Ball on Friday, October 18th and the post-parade costume party, the Monster Mash on Saturday, October 19th. Each rider must purchase a throw package. Throw packages start at $400.

Parade After-Party featuring live music,
DJ, and cash bar; Costumes required.​

FLOAT RIDER RULES & HELPFUL TIPS:

  • Arrive by 5pm to board floats and start unpacking your throws from the boxes and bags.

  • Check in with your float lieutenant when you arrive.

  • All riders must be in costume with face painted or masked.

  • No throwing branded merchandise unless approved by Krewe Captain.

  • Floats are composed of aged wood, so NO SMOKING and no drugs on the float.

  • Bring your own beverages in plastic go-cups. No glass on board.

  • Plenty of Cheewees and Pralinettes on board, but bring your own snacks if you don’t want empty carbs.

  • Floats carry a private toilet.

  • Optional: Bring some extra cash to tip out the DJ and Tractor Driver.​

2024 RIDING MEMBERSHIP

MEMBER AGREEMENT: $625 Membership fee includes riding position, access to make-up artists the day of the parade, and general admission to the Captain's Party on Friday night and general admission the parade costume after-party, the Monster Mash on Saturday night. This fee does not include any float fees, gratuities and throws.

I fully understand there are absolutely NO REFUNDS.

​

This policy includes any situations involving Acts of Nature, decisions by the Manager of the Krewe of Boo, the City of New Orleans, and/or the New Orleans Police Department.​
